The Dogon mythology is a very interesting and complex understanding of the creation of mankind. Their symbols and rituals are called ethno mathe-matics. Strangely a lot of motifs in their story are intercultural, meaning they're appearing in several places in several different cultural communities around the world. The film expresses (on several levels) the interaction between different belief systems. The film is no description of the Dogon mythology, but an inspiration. Which, hopefully will encourages the spectators to interpret the story for themselves. The film is an example of the synergy between students in art school (in this case the San Francisco Art Institute). It's a true multimedia peace, because several elements in the film also transcend out of the film alone. Stoyan Dabov, who plays Nommon, is a performance artist. This gives the scene in the film, where he's painting in his room, extra meaning. Also Nommon's radio is used for standalone sound performances. This reveals the concept in different contexts with their unique experiences.
Che poesia!!!
