Overall the knife is nice. Mine gets often stuck in open position though. It's not a big issue since it can't close back (it'd have been a big problem if the lock didn't work) but it just needs a little work to be able to close again.

The blade itself is good. It definitely needs some sharpening because it's not razor sharp out of the box.

I bought this one because it's rather cheap. I'm definitely happy with the price/quality ratio.

how do you get it to open quick like that is it spring assisted?

No, I just use my thumb to flick it.

Less music and more talk would have been cool. I'd be interested in your opinion, impression, and assessment of the knife.

I'm not a big fan of Taylor Brands (the makers of Smith & Wesson and Schrade knives) but have seen a number of really excellent versions of exactly this knife (black tanto Extreme Ops). It seems to enjoy slightly better quality control than other Taylor Brands knives.

Looks like a cross between the two S&W ExOp folders I have - the blade from one and a blackened version (I have the all-silver aluminum one) of the frame of another. The tanto-blade one I have is EXCELLENT, but the plain-edge one I have is pretty meh - liner doesn't lock very securely and the pocket clip makes it stick outta my pocket too much (snags on my hand like a cheese grater sometimes). For the money, though, these are great EDC knives.

@heckard I have had two of the extreme OPS (black&silver). Good feel, nice blade, etc...I agree about the can't close back issue, very secure safety. My only problem (which is a crucial one) is poor handle bolts. They both had the handle bolts loosen and fall off, 1 broke in half. The handle's would just completely unhinge to just the blade. :( Very cheaply made! Not dependable for the long run. I always had to adjust the play in the blade frequently. I need a strong dependable knife @ all times
