  • Those are some really cute pics they look happy and spoiled :) I didnt know they can eat those.

  • @LikeToGame80 yes they love to eat all the Australian native plants i give them. In california apparently Eucalyptus trees grow everywhere like weeds - maybe they grow where you live too?

  • thanks for putting together such a GREAT video to educate the likes of me. I've known of some of these plants, but havent investigated any further. Love your 'tiels btw, they look like real characters (I have 2 tamed (and spoilt) males who always keep me amused). I'll have to try the birdseed growing thing now for them. Have you checked out Doctor Ross Perry's clips on youtube ? Apparently he's an awesome avian vet with a wealth of info and vids on birds *a lot on parrots too)....have a looksie.

  • @gregm42 thankyou for your feedback, and thanks for telling me about Ross Perry, i wil check him out for sure. I love feeding my birds all the different native plants i can find. I have recently been sick and unable to collect as many plants for them, until today. They went into overdrive having so many plants again - such a pleasure to watch! Something else i reccomend highly is sprouting seed (not just growing it in dirt) - i have 2 vids on that too if you are interested.

  • nice

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @LeanneRickard hmm thats a tough one for me to answer spcifically, as i live in a temporate area. There would be some varieties of Eucalyptus, and some native pines, that would survive long snows, but i dont know the species names. Other frost/snow hardy natives you might want to research are "melaleuca", "casurina" and "banksia". You could definitely grow grasses for your birds though! Message me if you want more info on that.
