  • Just laughable the Polish would have given a 5.8 for artistry but only a 5.6 for technical. Retarded.

  • I agree. You could definitely see where the three judges who gave her a 5.6 were going. Three eastern bloc judges probably in the Witt camp. The commentator had it figured out..

  • Wow I'd forgotten how crazy low some of her marks were here. Always great to hear Toller's commentary on Midori. He was completely in awe of her.

  • After listening to Toller Cranston's commentary, this further prove that I already knew about how unfair the Old Judging System was. During the Era Kat Witt won all those medals in the 1980's(1984~1988), the school figures accounted 30% & Only 20% for SP.

Midori was technically superior with her difficult jumps, strong spins and fast steps. I liked Midori's use of "moves in the field" of spread eagle, ina bauer & 1 foot counter-turn entry into a 2 Axel.."Tano 2 Lutz & powerful 2 Loop/3 Loop !!!

  • @mlc2005 - yes. Her steps were more than could be counted. Difficulty into jumps. Field moves and flow between spectacular jumps. She should've had 1st from all judges in this short.

  • Yes, Cranston was one of the few great commentators. Not only having great commenting skills, but also posess the great skating knowledge and he's not shy in exploiting possible theories (which are true) and injustices with judges. Notice that the best commentators always are from Canada or UK. Class in speaking but also great skating knowledge and exploiting injustice.

  • The best technical program I have ever seen. She was doing the COP system 20 years before it was invented! Amazing.

  • What great commentary! I loved it.. very well done by Cranston.

  • FANTASTIC! A lot of the men would not even attempt that combination. Should have won the Short here, on difficulty alone. Thomas was fab too. Witt - love her to bits but a simple combo and plenty of smiles and gestures so choreography was rewarded. Where are all the characters today ay? Nowadays they are all clones of each other due to the new scoring system. 6-0 come back!

  • 最後、無邪気に喜ぶ姿が可愛らしいですねw

  • Ummm, did the judges not notice it was a double loop TRIPLE loop?!
