Mormon Tabernacle Choir Flash Mob - Colonial Williamsburg

On June 21, 2011, the entire Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed a flash mob (starts at ~3:20) during a Revolutionary City program on Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area. See footage building up to the flash mob and the performance itself. Then, spectators join the choir to sing "Yankee Doodle." Huzzah!

WHAT A BLAST!!! It's been a dream for me to sing with the MTC. I really hope they can come to Atlanta on their next tour. Perhaps they can take some time to do something like this at Stone Mountain park--maybe the Laser Show? Also, may God and they forgive me for having such a bad attitude toward the Mormons. Since I became Eastern Orthodox Christian, I've developed more respect for them. We don't believe all they do, but we do worship Christ Jesus, and that's a good start.

For a long time mormons were racists, people of other races, other than white, were not aloud to be in community, they were "dirty" from sin. For those who are referring to Mormons being Satan worshipers, I'd just like to point out that I know many people who can trace their line of priesthood all the way back to JESUS CHRIST himself, yeah silly catholic where did your priest get his priesthood? Well he claims he got it by getting a degree in divinity, hosh posh. The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints is the only religion on the earth that can trace their priesthood authority back to Jesus Christ. So with that I bid thee far

My family and I were there that day and participated in this. It was strange standing next to a plain-dressed woman who started singing shortly after the two gentlemen started a few feet away over my left shoulder. And then more and more people joined in. It was very moving to say the least, and then when we found out who it was that was singing made it all the more incredible. Although I too disagree with Mormonism, I have always enjoyed listening to their choir. There's nothing else like it.
