@TheJeremiewatson Yeah, plus the fact that Smallville had ONE rule from day one: No flight, No tights. Smallville was basically, in my opinion, Superboy without the costume. Though Smallville did take elements from the post-crisis Superman and pre-crisis Superboy mytos.

The reason why they didn't show Clark in the full suit is because, Tom Welling felt that he wasn't the REAL superman....he said that in an interview.

@ragethegreat although some people say its because he fought zod and doomsday and either darkeid in that matter the story is different.. i dont believe that, since neither of them had died..it doesnt mean he wont fight them again in the future.. and an other thing.. if you put your mind of superman for a sec.. the story of this series is really good not to mention the acting...

@ragethegreat i like the series of christopher reeves as superman.. and im not arguing or anything.. i knew superman from when i was little.. used to watch it everytime.. im kind of in love with heros you know.. i dont believe smallville ever did a terrible job.. yeah there are some episodes there and there that i dont really kind of like... actually the story is different.. ..
