@NoctisXLuciusXCaelum Thanks dude! And its definitely no walk in the park. But the best thing you could possibly do is learn your favorite band's music and play along to it constantly. At first it will be confusing, but eventually you'll start to see patterns in the stuff you are playing. And thats where scales and rhythms will start to become clear to you without any real training. I'm self taught, and I've been playing for about 8 years now. You can do it, just practice. Good luck!

@impulse41 dude you're awesome :3 I can play everything but the solos -.- that's because I don't have an electric..but when I get one, this will definitely be the first FULL song I learn :D I've been playing for almost 3 years so hopefully it won't be too complicated.
