i know this is a Mk. I GT40 but is it powered by the 4.7 (289ci) or the later 5.0 (302ci) ...what rpms are u turning on when ur running out of gear? 7,000?

This is old school racing at its best. My first car was a 65' GTO 389 tri-power back in 67'. I went to work for a Ford dealer in Poughkeepsie, NY. My first demo to drive was a 428 Couger XR7. We got a new red Boss 302 in and I took it out for a spin. Closest thing to a race car I ever driven on the street. But I remember a used car we got in, 66' Mustang 2+2 with the HP289 in it. With the maroon paint and black interior, it was one of the prettiest muscle cars we ever had.
