Although officially abolished, Nepal's caste system is still functioning. With the deadline for a new constitution one month away, is there any hope for the dalits, the very lowest in the caste system?

Speaking with Maoist politicians and the disillusioned dalits, this report explores the harsh daily reality of the Nepalese caste system. NGOs may offer the dalits education and identification documents, but there is still a long way to go to pull Nepal's lowest caste out of their inhuman existence.

@sandeshtamang yes my brother. in nepal the hindu brahmin and chettris have ruled nepal with such manner that only gives brahmin and chettris upper hands and ruled other nepalese with discrimination and suppression. still today nepalese are not allowed to eat beef because of brahmin and chettris lawmakers. we new generation nepalese must fight for every rights and equality. this video is a shame to all brahmin , chettri leaders, government.

@jimbob202019 my friend the decade Maoist war(1997-2007) was all about kicking out hindu brahmin and chettris from political power. in nepal for last 240+ years, hindu brahmin and chettris who are self-designated as HIGH CASTE have been ruling nepal with discrimination and corruption. that's why people took the path of revolution to kick out hindu kings and his puppet government. today brahmin and chettris still hold key government posts but slowly losing grip of power as before.

Hinduism has 100% been twisted!!

Its history its culture its whole meaning means nothing if this stupid people carry on with their european created word by adopting it into are lifes!

In England the poor jobs can make more money then a high grade job, its all about spreading money around but with these very poor hindus its hard as they have no money and pick up rice dropped from the fields!

Can anyone from nepal tell me how much it cost for land in your country?

AS a hindu born in England i had no idea that hinduism was still being twisted by brahmins, i thought that india out lawed it many years ago.

This is so stupid and needs to be fixed!! all the cast system is.... is just a JOB FILE!! thats all it is and the word CASTE SYSTEM is a european created word!

Their is no hindu script that even speaks of the word CASTE SYSTEM, I might travel to nepal to see this for my self, my father is very wealthy and i would like to buy them land!

Ya i apperciate ur feeling Mr Rai but u suppose to think that we are here since long long time we just can't focus only one place or people, yes so many our brother and sister lost their lives during past 15 years because of they want all about freedom of nepal from several thing like u present here but now this is not time to make one another discrimantion or polluted nepal no this is not a idea to bring us all together this is the time to where we have to unite all whether where are we from??
