A mate and I ran three section meets that were open to the public between 1994 and 1997. These were the first legal runs organised for owners of section cars in Australia that I know of.
A Spanking Good time was had by all!
The meet ran in 1995 was a supposed "work weekend", and was not generally advertised or made open to the public.
This meet saw a range of cars representing the most common narrow gauge units run in Australia, in particular the Fairmont MT14. ST2 and M15 model cars.
As part of the weekend, there was a show held at Eurelia, which managed to get Steamtown some much needed publicity.
