Mile High Youth Corps - Renewable Energy Trust with Xcel Energy

By integrating paid work experience on community projects with career exploration, education and life-skills training, the Mile High Youth Corps helps youth participants succeed in the classroom, the workforce and everyday life. In 2010, MYHC was the recipient of a grant from Xcel Energy's Renewable Energy Trust. The grant helped the organization afford a photovoltaic solar array system on the roof of their headquarters building in downtown Denver, CO. This system allows the organization to spend less on its electric bill and more on the young people in the community that benefit from their services.
