knuckletc gave you great choices there, but if you dont mind i would like to add Milestones (sextet) and Relaxin' (Sextet). On milestones he gives one of his most famous block chord solos on the tune "Billy Boy".

red was a fantastic swinging pianist.you dont gig with miles,coltrane,cannonball.and co if youre not at the top of your game.red and paul were two thirds of one of the best ever rythmn sections.a melodic swinging soulful player. many thanks.

This straight swinging rendition of September In the Rain by Red Garland includes an 'interesting' bowed bass interlude from Paul Chambers.
Please name me the three best most swinging Red Garland trio CDs. Would 'Groovy' be one of them? Mind you I don't mind a quartet or quintet.
