My father flat out asked his doctor how much nutritional training he recieved in medical school. The answer? ZERO. This is the case for most doctors. They know nothing when it comes to food or nutrition. All they want to do is shove pills in you. Disgusting.

You cannot OD on vitamin D3. It won't hurt you. As for the H1N1 and flu shot, they will hurt you. I would take 3,000 of D3 a day. Go to Dr.RussellBlaylock,md on you tube and he can help you to take this and tell you how much to take.

After dozens of clueless doctors, one (in a hospital) finally found out that I have vitamin D deficiency. He wanted to inject a megadose (500,000 I.U. or something) of D2! -- counter-productive and harmful. He didn't know how much vit. D you can get from sunlight...

Because they really don't know much about it and thus think that it's purely related to malnourishment. If you want to see how little your doctor know about things, just read up on a couple things like this, and then go and ask him questions. Then say, well...I've done some research and it says this.... See how they respond. Ego? Appreciative of being educated? Dismissal?

I love how people act like you have to be an MD to know what you are talking about. Like I said to this last fool, just because you have an MD doesn't mean you know everything. No one does. Physical therapists will trump doctors in knowledge of kinematics, etc. Nutritionists will trump MD's in the study of nutrition. And so it goes. And, if you are a patient who read a lot about a subject, what...your memory and ability to store info is based on whether you have a degree? Get a clue.

@blabby102 A real doctor? First, I went through medical school...so, I can tell you first hand that the pharm industry has hijacked medicine a long time ago. Medicine now, and even it's pathology and treatment is geared to go hand and hand. The only thing MD's are taught to do is diagnose and prescribe medicine. If the treatment does not generate money, you will not see it prescribed or recommended. MD's aren't taught jack about preventative medicine. You are very ignorant.
