cold fusion and redneck should NEVER be used in the same sentance

What kind of bottle is that?

It's a fun reaction taking place. I'd like to know the exact energy going in, and the amount of heat produced during this experiment. Also, an analysis of ions within your "tap water" would show whether protons were released, which I doubt happened. During cold fusion, heat produced would be enough to make your redneck head spin. That doesn't happen here, you're just boiling water with expensive diodes. :-) Science has an adequate form of cold fusion available, shorter-lived than your trick...?

if tho its not fusion at least he tried doing it not like other people. Maybe next time he just needs to look into it much better. you can do it :)

1) That was electrolysis.
2) Since the water ends up being rather hot after such experiment, I wouldn't call cold.
3) Rednecks and science don't mix. When they do, it usually doesn't end pretty (although very often hilarious).

Did it keep on sparking after your removed power to the leads?
30%KOH is way too much..max is 28% Normal OxyHydrogen uses 10% but nice post.

as far from nuclear reaction as a monkey anus from the face of god,
chemical reaction, does people really expect to solve the energy problem, with couple tools and lots of hope and ignorance?
funny dought probably was th point

uhhhh this is not cold fusion. . . . . . .

dude you need to you sea water and palladium. Also why does it sound like a blender? Still very cool video and I enjoyed it.
I really can not believe the debate this little video has created. It was just for fun (and trust me, it was!) Draw your own conclusions, but unless your Albert Einstein himself, do not share your negative analysis (opinion) unless you are replicating the experiment yourself. Energy is energy, keep the research going!

There is 30% KOH (Potassium Hydroxide)in plain filtered water.
