I just found out that episode is from 1989, when Jim Henson was still alive. Somehow I thought it was later than that. Neat.
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing the scenes following this one, where Elmo pretends to be like the Count and those other guys.

I do remember this, and yes I did have it confused with the other Super Grover clip featuring Elmo. When the other one came up on youtube, I wondered where the comparisons were.
Incidentally, this segment then led into some street scenes with Elmo trying to be like other Sesame Street characters.
