Elena Gilbert is always the person Harry has had a crush on, he finally works up the bottle to ask her to the Yule Ball. Elena accepts. On the night of the ball they are the first to dance, but Harry believes Elena is not safe with him (being the boy who lived) He is terrified for her well-being, so he leaves early. A confused Elena watches him go.
Elena becomes interested in the real Harry Potter - she wants to know who he really is. So she spends more time with him -- forgiving him for leaving her at the ball. Finally she admits that her parents are dead too, Harry feels even closer to her.

@TheRuby13 Aw dont think about the time difference! That would be an AWESOME fanfiction! There are many ways you could get around the problem - Harry uses a time turner, Elena finds a time turner.. or just ignore the difference (like mee! ahaha) xD <3
