The Maserati Biturbo is a sports car introduced by Maserati in 1981.

The Biturbo features a 2.5L V-6 SOHC engine that develops 185hp @ 5500rpm with two turbochargers (similar to that of the BMW 3 Series (E21) cars of the time) and a luxurious interior.

The car was designed by Pierangelo Andreani, an engineer from the De Tomaso team, influenced by the design of the newer Quattroporte III (Italdesign Giugiaro).

Peak torque of 208lb-ft at a low 3000RPM, with a weight of around 2700lbs.

The Biturbo has a 5-speed manual ZF transmission. The front suspension is MacPherson strut, and the rear is an independent semi-trailing arm design.

Large non-ventilated ATE disc brakes are at the front and rear, with 4 piston fixed calipers up front, and 14" 4-bolt wheels.

  • ....reliability of this specific Maserati - I was confident. Now of others.... probably explains why so many have "low mileage".

  • found one for $1800. should i buy it? it runs perfect to my knowledge

  • @EBB3ka13 - $1800 is a deal, unless it takes you $1800 to make it run. Drive it for a week back and forth to Starbuck's to show off - then unload it for twice the purchase price. Make it an investment like I did mine.

Thank s for the comment - Cheers!
