Only in America are people taught to wince when they hear the word communist. In Europe there are communists in every country and form a part of every body politic. Only in America are they demonized.
While you're demonizing communism, remember that Stalin and his communist army actually won World War 2, not the Americans. Russia sustained about 10 million deaths as they pushed Hiter back to Germany. Show respect.

Ha! As of July 30th the FBI has released through the Freedom of Act, that Howard Zinn was a card carrying communist, attending the Soviet funded CPUSA meetings. Funny, he complains about America because he hates capitalism but goes to CPUSA meetings funded by Moscow as Stalin was murdering, starving, and locking up more of his own citizens than Hitler did in WWII. Way to go Zinn! You will forever go down in history as the debunked communist propagandist who trashed America to prop up socialism.

Ignorant of history? Excuse me, but the reason that you have the rights and civil liberties that you possess is because of socialist and anarchist activism. Socialist Blacks from the South fought for Civil Rights.
Most of the women in the women's rights movement were socialists. Those labor unions that fought for better working conditions and wages were socialists. Socialism is about working from the ground-up, NOT from the top-down like the Soviets and other dictatorships.
