An unusual January day in Minnesota...NO SNOW on the ground! Usually we have a couple feet by now. Well, this is the family farm where I was born and raised. It will also serve as a rendevous point and bug out location for family members in any major emergency which requires evacuation from metropolitan areas. Even if the sh*t never hits the fan, my husband and I may eventually live here.

PS: It was windy out when I shot this video, so it is a little hard to hear at times. Please accept my humble apologies for the low sound quality.

  • Are you by any chance originally from Canada?

  • @tjbollman1 Nope. I was born & raised on that farm you see in the video, here in Minnesota. Canada is still a few hours north of me. Thanks for watching my video!

  • @RetroPrepper Thanks for your reply. Minnesota, like North Dakota has a bit of a seeped down Canadian 'flavor' in the speech pattern. A bit more of "The King's English" than the rest of the US speaks. I caught your pronunciation of reg-u-lair-ly. And it made me smile. thinking of friends in Canada. Thanks for sharing your homestead with us.

  • @tjbollman1 Hahaha! I've been told before that I have a bit of an accent, probably more than I realize. Thanks for your comments. You have some good videos favorited...I subbed your channel. Thanks again!

  • Wow, that is a fantastic property, it's huge, you could have an underground bunker and everything, a preppers paradise, nice vid, thanks for sharing.

  • @RetroPrepper Hah, I know what you mean. I live in upstate NY and everyone automatically expects me to talk like NYNY. But we don't say "MothA, FathA, SistA, BrotheA' up here. But I'm aware that we have an accent of our own (groan, not a nice one). I was with a Canadian friend in a lovely restaurant in Toronto (white gloved waiters) and I rather busted up the stately old gent when I ordered "CAWfee".I think I left by the back door, that night. Thanks for the sub. Tess in NY
