Tsukiji Fish Market

Don't worry everyone, we were NOT disruptive or rude like those idiots who got all of us foreigners thrown out of the auctions. We were very polite, stayed out of everyone's way and spoke only Japanese to whoever we talked to. I am horrified that these people did such terrible things with no regard for Japanese culture.

*Please note that Em is boycotting the use of non-farm-raised maguro: bluefin tuna, and that the eating of whale at the end was because we were told the animal was a mink whale that was not an endangered species. We found out later we were most likely lied to about what kind it was and will not be eating it again. Thanks!

Em gets spat on by a codfish, sees the REAL version of a 'sea pineapple', and eats whale for the first time. ^^

Changes noted: I said "mud daubers", but I meant "mud skippers" XD, the "turtle feet" are actually mollusks, like clams-- I believe called gooseneck barnacles.

Hey! @Emirichan317 ! Play through your video till you get to @8:05 . How cool is it to see yourself eating dolphin? Seriously. 80% of the time that's what it is, because a lot of the time they're easier to catch and a ton cheaper. You also just ate mercury which makes me a little less pissed at you, because at least something shitty happened to you as a consequence.

@fantabulousK The point is, people often keep destructive jobs so they can live. I don't agree with this either. And to conclude, wishing something "shitty" on someone else doesn't make you a better person, dear. I am all for whale conservation, but I'm all for people conservation too. I will try to be less "pissed" at you for being indecent and remember that you meant well, but I'll also pray that you find a more humane way of treating your fellow homo sapiens as well as whales.
