@1sushicheese1 You should really do your homework by studying the text, not asking strangers on the internet. However, cells dividing do not violate any laws because they grow before they divide. Bacteria are living things that need to eat and grow just like any other creature. During interphase (the time when mitosis is not occuring), bacteria are growing larger until they get too big to sustain themselves efficiently. They then divide into two daughter bacteria cells.

@MorgannaEirisa thank I have one more question. Thanks for the quick reply btw. I need this for my homework. You know when cells divide so quickly like bacteria, how they they keep making more bacteria so fast. Doesn't this violate the law of conservation of mass since the cells keep dividing their mass decreases. Or are the bacteria that are produced lighter and lighter?

@1sushicheese1 To keep from crushing them I put "feet" on the coverslip. You just scratch the corners in a bit of wax so the coverslip is slightly raised above the slide. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it looks more 2D because the depth of field that is in focus is so narrow.

@MorgannaEirisa hi can you tell me why the worms appear to be in 2d and not 3d? And also when you put glass over them doesn't that crush them?
how do u set this up? is it squished between 2 slides? Because I have been trying to do that, and the water just spills everywhere..

@AnimationSector As I mentioned earlier, you need to raise up the cover slip a bit by putting "feet" on the corners. I have a bit of clay that I scratch the corners of the cover slip with to give it a little elevation above the slide. This will allow for movement underneath the slip, but won't affect focus.
