Most americans never heard about the phrase "blood libel" until just now. But now it's trending on Twitter like mad! Why? because Sarah Palin (in her infinite ways of making a fool of herself) used the slogan on her video in trying to defend herself as a part to be blamed in the Arizona shooting.
Blood libel refers to a legacy of hate during the time of Hitler where Jews are accused of killing Christian children and use their blood in preparation for making Passover matzah. Many of us looked it up online and found that it is an anti-semitic slur that should not even be used let alone a person with much visibility like Sarah Palin.
The libels typically allege that Jews require human blood for the baking of matzos for Passover. The accusations often assert that the blood of Christian children is especially coveted, and historically blood libel claims have often been made to account for otherwise unexplained deaths of children. Many popes have either directly or indirectly condemned the blood accusation, and no pope has ever sanctioned it.
Again, she's not taking responsibility for her actions and continue to stir the pot without even knowing what she is talking about.
Wouldn't it be enough for her to simply say, "Yes, the crosshairs map that we used for our campaign may have been misconstrued to represent a shooting target. This was not our intention and we apologize. The map has been taken out of my Facebook Page and from my website."
But no, she has to continue to drive more nails to her coffin, just as her protege, Christine O'Donnell did with "I'm not a witch" video.

Police Union Spokesman Criticizes Beck's 'Inflammatory Speech'.
The spokesman for a national law enforcement association criticized Glenn Beck for comments that a California man says helped inform his plans for a killing spree that resulted in injuries to several highway patrolmen.
Rich Roberts is public information officer for the International Union of Police Associations, which represents about 500 local police unions.
He said Beck "stirs people up and not in a good way. He is a source of problems. I have to watch Beck because I don't have a choice, I have to stay in touch with what is going on."
Roberts, whose group is based in Sarasota, Fla., made the comments following Media Matters' interview with alleged gunman Byron Williams, who was arrested July 19 in Oakland, Calif., after an incident in which several members of the California Highway Patrol were wounded.
Williams told investigators that he was heading to San Francisco to kill members of the Tides Foundation and the ACLU.
Roberts said Beck's rhetoric is a dangerous thing because it can drive people to violence. "The Becks of the world are people who are venting their opinions and it is inflammatory, it generates a lot of emotion and generates in some people overreaction that apparently happened in the California case," Roberts said. "Inflammatory speech has a tendency to trigger those kinds of emotions."
Roberts added about Beck: "He is self-serving and has no interest in improving, informing or educating."

  • We do know Palin:

    - strongly supports the NRA and the gun lobby

    - aggressively promotes a gun toting culture

    - talks up an aggressive military posture in foreign policy

    - uses gun metaphors liberally (don’t retreat, reload)

    - uses gun graphics (rifle cross-hairs) to target political opponents

The palin mind set clearly resonates with the psychopathic drivers behind the Tucson killings, no question. It’s no coincidence that one of Palin’s targeted political opponents got shot.

  • @townsendjean I totally agree with you and will repeat the same to protect it from spamming:

  • @townsendjean You are an idiot!

  • and the thing is, all her rabid supporters tried so desperately to defend her idiotic insensitive self serving remarks...

  • @townsendjean yeah palin should be in jail now

  • This woman is a disgrace to human intellect, human compassion and any and all decent human beings the world over.

  • When will we as a society start to ignore Sarah Palin because she is not worthy of our attention. Dan Quayle made ignorant comments and was not a very bright individual but compared to Sarah Palin he is a genius.

    .......

This woman is a bad accident and that is the reason she still garners attention. Sarah Palin is not qualified to be a dog catcher, she abandoned the Governorship of Alaska midway through, lost as V.P. candidate and did not know what a V.P. job description entails.

  • She thinks because she is a woman she is supposed to get a break or get certain treatment. She plays victim too much and if a woman like her wants to be a president she has to become less of a victim all the time and for god sake. Read more. Stop acting like you don't need to be intelligent to be a leader.

She isn't good enough. No way no how. If she were to get elected it would be like blood in the water. You thought Bush was bad when we got attacked on his watch. We'd be finished.

  • @solomanspaming I wouldn't even trust her with an empty parking lot, never mind nuclear launch codes.

  • sorry asshole...YOUR NOT GETTIN OUR FIREARMS....I GUESS YOUR THE NEW PHONEY LEFT/RIGHT GUY....THEY CHOSE POORLY!
