Perhaps if one does not understand the difference between the genitals and the umbilical cord this explains the difficulty understanding the negative implications of circumcision.

Thank you for your invitation and open mind. Cutting the genitals of non-consenting infants and children we fail to acknowledge their very basic human rights to body ownership and self-determination. We fail to acknowledge the permanent life long harm done to the natural form and function of the genitals. Failure to acknowledge the most severe accidents of circumcision that have killed infants and rendered some lifelong genital cripples.

your reasoning fits perfectly well, not only with refraining from circumcision but also cutting the umbilical cord. where are the human rights that your talking about when it comes to the cord?! you will argue that that is a positive alteration but that is a matter of opinion. billions of humans consider circumcision a positive change too.

Drawing a parallel with circumcision to Anderson's fairy tale The Emperor's New Clothes in which the Emperor, who holds all the power is tricked by charlatans into buying a new suit of clothes, which do not exist. As the nude emperor parades through the streets to display his new suit only a small boy is able to point out, "He's not wearing any clothes!" In the case of circumcision everyone who participate fails to acknowledge what is really happening.
