Doug Doppler plays the hand-wired VHT Standard 36 at the 2009 L.A. Amp show. Speaker cabinet is a custom J Design soft maple open-back 4x10 loaded with Celestion Alnico Gold 10s. Guitar is a Malden Mozak. Pedal is a prototype VHT clean/treble boost pedal.

Nice amp. But I'll still take a Diezel VH4 any day. More versatile but very expensive as well. Thank goodness for Mesa Boogie!

Great playing. Killer amp. Always hard to tell with mics and video/audio compression, but it sounds spanky/sparkly and crunchy at the same time. I like the sound of the percussive attack and then that grind that comes on when you turn up is awesome.

that's fun to listen to, man..ya, there is a lot of clarity and sparkle juice in that amp. reminds me of EVH's because is so pure

These amps are fantastic. That's just me plugging in and seeing what happens. A great balance of power, clarity and beauty. Incredible string separation with just tons of fun. Yeah FUN, isn't that why we do it???
