Contra 3 The Alien Wars Infinite 1up Trick

This is a tip/trick on how to get an infinite supply of 1ives. Although the max lives you can have is 30.

Yeah I was using the machine gun. I figured out what my problem is. I'm playing it on my Wii and I forgot that the Wii remote shuts off if you don't press anything for a long time. I had tape over the fire button and left it sitting too long and the controller was shutting off. Sorry my bad. LOL.

This isn't working for me. I've tried it several times and I keep dying anyway. I'm all the way to the left and doing it exactly as you are but I only make it to 9 lives and then get killed. What am I doing wrong?

Contra 3 is a hard game, but I've always found it a hard game, even on the easy mode. I should definitely try this trick, so I have a chance at beating it.

Did you know there's one other place where you can do that trick in the very first stage?

Stand on the right side of that red car at the start of the stage and just keep firing to the right. Make sure not to blow up the car and the enemies coming from the left of it won't be able to hit you. It makes a good shield. If you already knew about that one nevermind. I only recently figured it out.
