I'm always entertained by kids who slam this kind of sound, clearly with no grasp of the fact that were it not for music like this paving the way, modern pop music as we know it would not exist. Although now that I've said it that way, I guess that wouldn't be so terrible...

One thing about now is, we have access to music from the distant past and have a huge variety. But in say 1925 there was only radio and records and the movies were silent. We'd have never been able to take in all the music by going to one place, like YT and listening to all this great stuff. But yeah, I'd love to visit that time. The era of wonderful nonsense.

@SmileForPink well Dad and his friends went through both eras and they often commented that the late '20s seemed like golden years but were followed by an unbelievably bone-crushing depression that went on and on and on with no apparent end in sight.

@amerika277 Yeah but if you lived in the 20's, more likely than not, you would have to live through the Depression. :( I think I would like to go back to this time for a month or two. Lol
