Stephan, thank you for sharing your experience that day. The setting with the birds singing was very pleasant and the painting was representative of the scene. I have been painting for 30 years and usually bring my paintings to a higher finish but know painters who have been painting longer that. like you, stop at the plein air or impressionistic stage. really awful camera work, shaky, constantly moving.
and we SEE nothing of how the clouds were painted just how they ended up.
