Thanks for posting that. It's similar to one in Tucumcari, NM, in that it's a girl at a washtub, although the NM one does not have "motion." Do you know anything about the age of the Rapid City sign?

I know that it has been scrubbing away on the old washboard since at least 1950, perhaps older -- just after WWII. Maybe I can check with the Chamber of Commerce in Rapid City.
