Long Island Youth Orchestra Performing "Marche Slav" by Tchaikovsky - This is the final performance of the 47th Season of the Long Island Youth Orchestra. A very powerful rendition of Tchaikovsky's "March Slav" and conducted by Martin Dreiwitz, and performed at the Elwood MS Auditorium, E. Northport NY on June 7th, 2009.
The piccolo and the lead trumpet really stood out for me in this performance. Great job!

Im srry, but i have to say something about the rushing french horn player. But i guess its sort of appropriate, because after all, tchaikovsky was Russian. :) and that part is pretty hard anyway.

it's really hard to believe this is a youth orchestra. that sounds like the original. great job! very impressive! i played this in concert band in high school, it sounded nothing like this though, but of course we had no stringed instruments. the strings just make this song.
