  • Best time ever. Had a great trip! "All the way" from NH. Had seen them after this show, but it still stands out as one of the greats. Could still camp at the show & did for the whole 3-4 days. Where's the rest of the show(s)? Anyone?

  • @momthegreat1 I had an awesome time too, drove up from PA. Out of the 200 or so shows I went to, this one is definitely in my top ten. Phil was carpet bombing that weekend. I haven't seen the first set around anywhere.

  • I remember the long road in and all the Oxford folks selling food and drink from thier front lawns ... good times ... if i remember correctly Little Feet opened

  • a year from this date, and bobby's pony-tail is flying. great "playin"

  • Potentially the greatest show of my life. Never thought to look for it on Youtube until now. Thanks for posting!

  • at 2:50 comes the 'launch into space' moment of this song. Usually Garcia would take the helm for that, but here, Lesh, leads the band, and us, out into the swirling stardust.

Lesh, as always, plays 'melodic lead', not 'rhythm' bass as is typical for a rock band.

  • Phil's bass at this show was so loud it felt like it was exploding out of the center of the planet and up through your cranium. Listen to the Jack Straw from the first set of this show.
