RTCW [xTc] vs [LBL]: 2002 CAL Open Semi-final, WARWITCH - JUSTICE shoutcast

The game is "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", RtCW. A team-based, objective-focused, class-based multiplayer game. It has four classes, Soldier (can have different weapons like Panzerfaust), Medic (revive downed body, gives med packs), Engineer (plant/disarm dynamites), and Lieutenant (calls air strikes, gives out ammo). Very simple system yet, so perfect. MAG is very much like glorified RTCW. I spent about 600 hours in MAG. I spent probably double (at least) in RTCW. Being a clan and all :P

It is based on Quake 3 engine and had many mods. One showing here is called Stopwatch mode. It allows clans to have a match. One team set the time for the win and the the other team tries to beat that time in the next game. Another mod, wolfTV, lets you record your game and replay it. This is how I recorded this. Also had mp3 file of the shoutcast. I was sitting these on for a while (8years!!!) then I decided to make the video for archive.

This is the CAL Open match semi final around 2002. This match is memorable because this is kinda last hurrah of our clan. We went to final but lost after this. Then, the clan kinda went under. Another reason is because of "Warwitch" and "Justice", extremely well know members of Wolf community, doing a shoutcast for it. It is just fun to listen their banters all the way. The actual match starts 7:25 mark and soon WW and Justice rejoin for shoutcasting.

xTc went for the final after this game but lost against the clan 82nd :(

Don't know who is looking at this at all but this is eg0. Was talking to one of my friends about Quake and mentioned my hay-days in RTCW and thought I'd do a search for the old clan and stumbled across this. Good times, good times.

RtCW and Warwitch were the tits.

Can't agree that BFBC2 is anything like Vanilla Wolf tho- whoever said that.

Wolf demanded class balance even in pubs and team play was key, the maps were small - most of them, and played fast.

Damn I miss objective based stopwatch.

I fucking loved this game man played it for years till Battlefeild 1943 aIsland came out then I played that with this came back and fourth during the weeknights.

Now I changed to Battlefeild 3 totally. But I still love this game.
