Who cares? If you want to see a movie about Japan, watch a movie made in Japan. This is an American film, i'm amazed they even have actual Japanese actors instead of some asian American extra from Fast and Furious.

this was so bad...I had to stop watching halfway because I kept cringing. Look the storyline itself isn't bad. I blame it on this whole meshup of two cultures. It wasn't handled properly at all and created really awkward scenes. And yeah ok rest in peace Britney Murphy, you were probably a good person and etc. BUT she was really horrible in the film too. Completely awkward. At one point I think they played chinese kung fu music when the ramen chef was handling noodles. Ugh...

From a non-Japanese woman's perspective, I have lived here for 10 years plus, it is quite dead on with regards to culture shock and how hard it is to adjust after just getting off the plane...very cute and light-hearted. RIP beautiful Brittany.
