  • This kind of stuff is slowly taking place in America too. But it's slightly different because out politicians are bought off by corporations, and they are lobbying to censor competition. The Internet is a powerful marketing tool, and companies can pay google to have them be the first search result, regardless if they're the best or most affordable site or not. In affect creating an advertising monopoly.

  • Layer 4: Tags

They can blacklist IP addresses, domain names, keywords and TAGS. They can tag content based on meaning, even when that meaning isn't clear from the keywords. This is simple implementation of the context filtering mentioned in the video.

    Layer 5: Profiling

They can flag a user, and then flag any content this user tries to access. Once a user can be shown to habitually browse subversive content, content viewed by the user is then tainted, and subject to scrutiny.

  • Yes can you give any proof that its not.

  • I have seen no evidence that IRC or ICQ are being censored. Can you give any evidence of this?

  • Heres the Kicker anyone whos ever used the MIRC or Older Versions of I C Q now are sensored from THE USA as to comments even to our friendly allies like Scottland, Norway. Sweedem. The sensorship and disruption is so blatent a phone call to the friends overseas confirms that the same algorythems developed by the Americans considering all the fiber optics are running through the states is a DAM FACT. Hell they even censor Canadians Talking with Americans about anything Antibush. Or 911
