If you or someone you know works in the restaurant business, please- get help.

If you're a customer... this is what your waitress is really thinking.

I've been a waitress for about 10 years. This song wrote itself... & could've been waaay longer but Deach said enough ;p

  • You have inspired me to search harder than ever for a new job. working as a customer service representative, i feel the same as you do - congrats on quitting the hell hole!

  • @onegirlshuakai Every time I think about going back to working with the public, I play this song. Your comment truly made me happy. It was indeed a hell hole, and I can only image what customer service is like ::shudder:: I hope you're at least on the phone so you can make nasty faces.

  • She should put this on iTunes, I'd support. Need a lawyer though my friend is a great artist who put his stuff on iTunes n he got screwed out of all his dues cause they gave him a bogus contract. N you can much easier sue a lawyer for malpractice than you can for signing a bad contract. Excellent song and oh so true, mad props.

  • @wankster06469 Mad props are my favorite kind ;) Thanks!

  • TIPS - "To insure perfect(prompt) service" are supposed to be "extra" for exceptional service. The mistake is when restaurants are so cheap that they won't pay a full wage. Most people that do non-service jobs don't get tips for "just doing their job", but might get extra for going the extra mile. Why are tips "pooled" if it just goes to a common pot? Sounds like socialism. Where is the incentive to excel? And.......

What's up with fast food restaurants (Dunkin Donuts) having tip jars?

  • This song wasn't about tipping. I only mentioned it once at the end referencing old men that leave you a dime for bringing them coffee for 4 hours, the whole time leering at your ass.

The song was about assholes that for some reason think that just because we're in a position of service, that gives them the right to be impatient & rude. If you don't wanna tip- fine... just be nice & treat your server like a human being. That was the point of this song.
