  • What a ghastly call by the Rams at 3:45ish: in scoring range, a tight end reverse on a terrible field with a guy who's neither quick or fast to begin with. They deserved what they got on that drive...nothing.

  • Man, I wish I grew up in the 70's so I could've watched some of these battles! Muddy fields, snowy fields, crappy conditions, and hard hitting defenses. Back in the day when you could light up a QB and a WR without getting a roughness penalty.

I love watching these old games. I'm a Giants fan, and they sucked HUGE in the 70's but I love watching The Vikes, Cowboys, Steelers, Raiders and Rams from the 70's. Good ol rivalries!

  • I see clock management hadn't been invented yet. Vikings had the ball at their own 37 with 1:20 left and a 3rd and 2 but they only ran one more play (picked up the first down with 40 seconds left and the clock ticked away the rest of the half). Nowadays, an average NFL team would've ran at LEAST 6 plays even with NO timeouts to get at least a fg try.

  • Septian would kick for The Cowboys in the next season, replacing Efram Herrara, who would miss 3 FG's in The Super Bowl, form this season

  • I was at this game, I was 10 years old! The Vikings ALWAYS knocked the Rams out of the playoffs! Ah, the good ol' days!

  • MNF LA Rams 35, Minnesota Vikings 3. Rams thought they had this game in the bag.

  • Rams can't stop Foreman.

  • @trailandale

Not the best of calls, your right.

Although the call wa bad, what I find ghastly about this play was the holdin @3:36. The guy ltierally tackles Alan Page. One of countless example of Rams holding during this game.

  • I know the rain and mud are not an excuse. However if the field had been dry there is no doubt in my mind LA would have gone to the superbowl. I remember being soaking wet cold and sooo disappointed that day. LA Rams forever!!

  • Imagine a team with running backs Lawrence McCuthcheon, Cullen Bryant, John Cappeletti and Wendell Tyler. Chuck Knox loved that ground game.

How come we didn't get to see Nate Allen's interception which stoned a Rams drive?

  • At 3:38. The O-lineman tackles Page !!
