PEOPLE NEEDED TO LINE UP FOR NEW CONDO PROJECT

Just as the title says, we need people to hold spots and line up for a new condo project located in Burnaby (Kingsway/Willingdon Ave). Line up may start as early as weds/thurs night. Grand opening is Saturday February 19, 2011. Warm beverages and washrooms will be provided by the developer. Shifts are determined on how long you would like to stay. (preferably 8hours+) Get paid cash quickly for sitting in a line up!

"Condomania" is not back... There was an advert on craigslist on monday offering to pay people a wage to stand in this line up and pretend they were interested in purchasing a condo. Thus the large tents. It's a publicity stunt, and globalbc, who are sponsored by realtors (lets give them the benefit of the doubt) "fell" for it.

@mrclam2006 I guess you're not a local. I spent all my life in Burnaby, and it definitely has its perks. Anyway, what I meant was prime location within Burnaby. Kingsway and Willingdon is within walking dist. of metrotown, Central park, and metrotown/patterson skytrain, which gets to downtown in 15 min, and it's not too far from my friends and relatives in Surrey. I like it here because this is where I grew up. I don't understand how you can laugh at a local for liking where he lives.

@mrclam2006 I don't know if it was a publicity stunt, but I'm a local, and I hired someone to stand in line for me (so that I could buy a condo). I still wasn't able to get one there. imho, it was a combination of prime location and speculators (gosh I hate them. sucks for us locals.), unless of course, you have a proof that the craigslist listing was put up by Bosa/insiders. If not, I would be careful of what you say. I've seen people getting sued for libel over internet comments.

@ieatmidget Hmm.. got a question for you. I grew up in Burnaby and lived here all my life. I work hard and just bought myself a condo in metrotown. It was expensive, but I love it here, so I figured I would just suck it up. But here is the thing. I'm Asian, and once in a while, I would be just walking down the street, and a random person would yell "Go back to your fcking country!" I even had a half eaten apple thrown at me from a moving car. Are you one of these people?

Really shoddy reporting by Global News; but basically what I've come to expect from most "journalists" in Vancouver. Next time, try a little research, folks. This was a SCAM.
