I read more than half of the comments to this video before I actually watched/listened to it and with all these haters bad mouthing kirk I thought it was going to be a "messy" solo. For all those who say that he isn't a great guitarist because he likes using the wah effect and also doesn't always play as clean as Melodic Death Metal bands solo's are played, well all I have to say is kirk knows what he's doing and he knows what he's playing.

he's not covering up his mistakes. He uses the effect because he likes the way it sounds, he'll do the same thing with his tremelo. just because you don't like the way he uses it doesn't mean he's using it wrong.

There isn't a "right" way. But there is a wrong way. If you take a look at the solo, he plays a run and then open and closes the wah erratically
Work on your logic. Just because its an "effect" doesn't mean its good. You can do whatever you want to the wah and make some horrible noises. Doesn't mean its good

your stupid, a wah pedal is an EFFECT, wich means he can use it to make any effect he wants, there is no right way to use it.
