I don't really now much about dragons and lions in China. In Japan, however, there are some mythical creatures that are a mixture of lions and dragons.
I assume that the "lions" in this video show some features very typical for "dragons" as well. So it might be something in between "lion" and "dragon" after all.

Thanks! It was only the small parade, we missed the main parade which was one or two days before. Still, it was a wonderful event!
