aging has nothing to do with it Clapton & Bloomfield sounded like this prior to 1970

it's I've installed PAF's in new guitars & the sound comes with the PAF's

This comparison is not fair, as the Burstbuckers are really shitty pickups. Put decent PAFs into the R9 and take it from there. You can't compare apples with bananas

Well, that was depressing. A huge difference. So 5 or 6k won't get you anywhere near close to the '59. The '59 is mesmerizingly great. The amp is awesome of course, I'm wondering if any of the mojo or ceriatone kits with kt66s can get anywhere near this?
