This is great stuff, I first heard of them from the movie Once. I wish they (or Glen Hansard) would settle on a band name, there are several different groups Glen has been associated with which can be a little difficult (The Flames, Glen Hansard, Once the movie, Swell Season, etc). Fortunately I keep discovering thier musical treasures!

@lLetTheGoodTimesRoll It's called wear and tear. And if you were a true musician, and guitarist at that, you would understand that the condition of his guitar reflects his love for it. Chances are both him and that guitar have been some rough times, but that's just it; they went through those times together. That guitar, if anything, represents a truly beautiful instrument. Not to mention, it sounds exceptionally well regardless of all the wear.

If you guys think Glen is a genious, then you're all right about this, but if you want to feel what perfectness is all about, try listening to Mic Christopher and Glen Hansard together... these guys are just so far above superior compared to any other musicians. They're more than just brilliant.
