2PM AND 2AM WERE 2 SEPARATE GROUPS SINCE DEBUT -_________- JYP just made them into 2 groups 2AM, ballad group, since 2AM is in the morning, so it's quiet. 2PM, a dance group, 2PM is hottest time of the day.

@TheFruitSquad well. i know all of that. but they are not sub groups of oneday. Cos Oneday never actually released their own song therefore its not actually a group, 2PM and 2AM are different groups. but together we call them Oneday. Then JYP comes with the idea to split them into 2 groups and their names with 2PM and 2AM bcos they were so close since they were trainees(in Hotblood) he just came up with a name Oneday to call them all together. This is my understanding. i wish it was real group

i think this is what JYP was thinking/this is what i think

2AM is early in the morning so it would be very peaceful thus they sing ballads

2PM is in the early afternoon when you'd have a lot of energy thus they have dance songs

2AM-2PM is 'One Day'

i think the whole idea is ingenious.

From the very beginning it was decided that they will split into 2 groups but who is is which group was not decided so they made survey thing to decide its not like JYP was trying to make group like SUJU,, since they were trainees they usually practise in AM and PM, the ones who love to dance practise their dance, the one who love to sing practise their vocals something like that.

@bokCH0ii actually 2am and 2pm are sub unit groups they debuted as one group "one day" then they were separated into 2am and 2pm one being a ballad group and the other as a hip hop/ dance group.
