Destination Winnipeg - Corporate Videos - Longest Skating Rink in The World

See the longest skating rink in the world in just three and a half minutes. The 9.3km (5.8 mile) rink and walking path runs along the frozen surface of the Assiniboine River between two of Winnipeg's greatest places: Assiniboine Park and the Forks historic site, where the Assiniboine flows into the Red River.
The path was sponsored by the Assiniboine Credit Union and developed under the guidance of Paul Jordan, General Manager of The Forks.

wow, this was incredubly cool. it was like a freeway on ice with a turnoff every 20 secs. and there was even a roundabout in there (1:56) that was funny. and talk about a diverse range of traffic. joggers, skaters, bikers, strollers, dogs, and even a buggy machine driving along. (overtaking everyone). what`s next, ice police XD 5 stars

i hope they make it wider this year, it gets wayyy to crowded on nice days. and to the ppl with dogs. WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU why would u take your dog on a skating trail?! skates one day will cut off the tail or cut your dog
