    David Bowie would be the last person to view fashion as stupid. What a ridiculous statement. What he was trying to do was - "move on a little from that Ray Davies concept of fashion, to suggest more of a gritted teeth determination and an assuredness about why one's doing it(fashion)", his words. He is a fashion icon who has supported many designers thru his many changes…Glam, Dandy, Rockabilly, Drag, Alien…He married Iman a supermodel...and now he is into Thom Browne suits.

    .. Alan Hunter (one of MTV's original VJ's) is in this video .. He mentions this in the new "VJ" book that was just released .. First apperance is about a minute in .. He's wearing a black & white striped shirt .. This was pre-MTV, as the video came out in 1980 ..
