hey, im a personal trainer, so obviously i know a bunch about weight loss. first off, bananas may be high in sugar, but are also high in potassium, something ur body needs. grapes r the same thing, but they are high in anti-oxidants. i agree with low fat, but u need some to get ur body through the day. banana chips are dried, so the sugar content is actually higher. almonds, however, are great for a diet, very high in protein. with bmi, once you reach a certain point, it not longer is accurate.

Hey I lost 10 pounds only by counting how many calories I was eating/day & doing some exercice.Also, avoid FAT& SUGAR. bananas and grapes are the worst fruits: bananas have a lot of fat,sugar and calories. Grapes, a lot of sugar. Banana chips and almonds? Again, I don't find it a super smart choice. look on the back of what u buy and look for LOW FAT&LOW SUGAR & by doing exercice (same intensity&lenght/ same day(s) of the week- u can lower the lenght if u keep intensity)

i think it's better to get roasted almonds that are lightly salted. they're almost just as healthy as the almonds you bought, but taste much better.

Umm... right. Exactly. She needs to EDUCATE herself about what a healthy weight would be, since she thinks healthy weight is something she can figure out by AGE, rather than HEIGHT. Her thinking is wrong, and potentially unhealthy. If she weighs 130, and she's 5'10, that's too thin. If she weighs 130, and she's 4'8, then she's overweight.
BMI is a way to estimate what a healthy weight goal would be. The calculator just does the math for you. it doesn't do the "thinking," just an estimation.
