@mcpcshowcaseHD - Correct. An A380 actually needs less runway than a 747, however, as you have correctly noted, there's more to it than that. Not only must terminals and gates be modified to take the Airbus, but taxiways and aprons need to be strengthened as well. In some cases, runways need to be widened.

any chance she might fly into St Maarten? Plane spotting on Maho Beach is spectacular and while I saw 747s fly in is there enuff runway for this girl?

@crazycatlady68 Technically the A380 can land on any Runway the 747 can, but with St Maarten being a relatively small airport there may not be enough room for the A380 on the tarmac.
