song from Return to Pride Rock

lyrics: [translation of Fon]

As you go through life you'll see
There is so much that we
Don't understand

And the only thing we know
Is things don't always go
The way we planned

Ayiho nan hon bô nan toun [The day shall soon break]
Dô gbeme do sousou lo [And I'll know that the world evolve]
When it seems all your dreams come undone

Akon kpikpan déa dohô [Your endurance or courage]
Zéwé sou gbêwê biômon [Makes you great and it's life's demand]
We are more than we are
We are one

If there's so much I must be
Can I still just be me
The way I am?

Can I trust in my own heart
Or am I just one part
Of some big plan?

Mantintô lè do kpô [Those that are gone are still with us]
Ha mi do gbêmin fi la [Throughout our life journey]
Your journey has only begun

Akon kpikpan déa dohô [Your endurance or courage]
Zéwé sou gbêwê biômon [Makes you great and it's life's demand]
Is our pride, deep inside
We are one

Gnin kpo hwê kpo do kpô [If you and I stick together]
Nou dé man nan hin mi gblé [Nothing would separate us]
One family under the sun

Akon kpikpan déa dohô [Your endurance or courage]
Zéwé sou gbêwê biômon [Makes you great and it's life's demand]
You will find when you see
We are one

  • @Sesil1991

This is the translation of the parts where she sings in fon. in fact people think she's saying the same things as in the original version. But some parts in fon differs from it.

  • @winnalex1986 are these the parts where she sings in only fon? or are they the areas where she says them in the 2 lines? throughout the song?

  • i love this song

  • @sendagire now you have the real meaning of those words and the right lyrics
