God is not imaginary. He can make anything appear as he wishes. It is called a test of faith. Maybe God does heal amputees. Maybe you just havent heard about it. I believe the only major difference between an atheist and a Christian is that where a
Christian believes in God and Jesus as their saviour by faith and by the full knowledge given to them by the Holy Spirit, and the fact that the atheist doesnt give God a chance. If you the atheist, I assume, would give God a chance He would make Himself known to you, and you wouldnt be asking these silly questions.. Its all about Love. Do yourself a favor and give Christ a chance. I swear it wont hurt. In fact you will find yourself on an amazing journy through eternal life.

@Chuck1863 Interesting concept. Might I ask where you got your information. I realize that allot of Christians turn there backs on God when things get tough. I myself turned my back on God when my son was born and died on Easter several years ago and then once again when my brother was murdered. Fortunately for me God was waiting for me with open arms when I turned my life back over to Him.

Plenty of us liked believing in god,wanted to believe in god,but do not believe in god because we care more about truth then having blind faith

@NemoUtopian I was raised in a Christian home. I also for many years wanted to believe in God and just couldn't feel him. I think it was only after I was willing to loose myself and let God take over that I truly felt his presence. now i love the Lord with all my heart. i hope that somehow you will give him another chance. he loves you...

It's nice to have people like her. We truly need to believe (even if ever so slightly) because it gives us all hope. But they should not go around trying to push their beliefs onto anyone else.

If even one, JUST ONE amputee was healed with a NEW limb... yeah,... we'd know it. Listen folks, the human mind is fragile, we use our imagination to hide from the reality of death and pain. The sooner we can find a way to grow up as a species the better. Christians have killed off all the other gods, all we ask is you kill off one more! Then we're free to reason and most likely find true friendship without bigotry!
