ARIZONA TACO FESTIVAL—YEAR DOS.mov

http://www.aztacofestival.com - The date is October 15, 2011. Over 40 Valley restaurants and amateur competitors will taco-battle it out for $7,500 CASH. Every one of them will sell $2 tacos to attendees all day. Expect live Lucha Libre wrestling, a hot chile pepper eating contest, Macho Taco Eating challenge, huge kid's zone, and a Boutique Tequila Expo tent featuring over 30 different brands of premium tequilas.

The taco teams will cook off in any combination of four categories—chicken, beef, pork, and seafood—while sometimes also entering the salsa and guacamole contests as they chose. Teams will bring their food trucks, hottest booth decor, and crazy surprises.

All of this only cost $10 to enter and $2 per taco sample. Of course, there's a Macayo's VIP ticket that gets you open bar, catered food, entry to the Tequila Expo, and a swanky place to call casa for the day. VIP: $100.

Select proceeds from this event benefit the Bridging AZ Furniture Bank, helping to give people more than hope, but something to sit on.
