  • The video shows chemical electrical signalling. The first neuron becomes electrically charged, causing molecule-filled sacs to release their contents into the synaptic cleft. These molecules then bond with receptor sites on the second neuron, opening an ion-gate. This opened ion gate allows potassium(K+) and Sodium(Na+) ions to enter the second neuron. This is the chemical-electrical signalling of neurons.
