Take a tour of the MV Becrux - a state-of-the-art purpose built live export vessel as it prepares to carry sheep and cattle from Australia to their overseas destinations. The MV Becrux has been engaged in live exports non-stop since its launch, carrying Australian sheep and cattle to various live export destinations in Asia and the Middle East. This livestock export ship has a desalination plant on board and produces all the fresh water for both livestock and crew. The MV Becrux has completed over 80 voyages carrying more than 3 million sheep and 500,000 cattle.

  • This is so disgusting! talking about this ship like some marvel of modern design when all it is is pure evil.. taking tens of thousands of animals to a hell where they will be tortured and suffer until their death. You people (especially the dickhead host) will know your own hell one day.. I can't believe you contribute to this trade with a smile on your face...

  • Animals eat plants. Animals eat animals.

Plants eat plants. Plants eat animals.

Humans eat plants. Humans shouldn't eat animals!?!?!?!!?

  • Liberal Senator Chris Back said the live sheep trade was an integral component of the nation's livestock industries and contributed significantly to the provision of food in the Asian and Middle East regions. He said the fact he was actively engaged as a veterinarian in the trade and did many trips to the Gulf gave him confidence in supporting the industry

I have one advantage over those who criticise so stridently, Mr Back said

I have experience in this field and know what I am talking about

  • My father works for that company(siba ships)! I saw the ship when it first went in the water (dunno what it's called). Now the ship has another name... a weird one..... i forgot!

  • Just saw an hour program on The Science Channel about the Becrux. Amazing stuff.

  • wat a magnificint ship, i hope you have many years of succesful bussines with it good luck from the uk !

  • 84 industrial-sized fans to keep the animals from suffocating, on-board desalination plant making 600,000 L of water per day -- how did Noah manage on the ark?

  • Awesome video! MV Becrux was build in Pula, Croatia.
